Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has continued to climb to the top of the English Premier League’s scoring charts, capitalizing on the relative decline in performance of Manchester City star Erling Haaland of Norway.
Kane scored once in Tottenham’s thrilling 4-3 win over Leeds United, while Haaland scored early in Saturday night’s 1-2 defeat by Brentford in the Premier League 16th round.
Kane scored his 12th Premier League goal so far and closed the gap to just 6 goals with Haaland, who leads on 18 goals.
Brentford striker Evan Toni also moved into third place, having scored a brace for his side against Man City to take his total tally to 10 goals.
And in fourth place comes Alexander Mitrovic, a Fulham player, tied with Rodrigo, a Leeds United star, with 9 goals each.
