Tomorrow actions for police collective labor agreement, but fines for violating corona rules

Police unions do not want to issue fines for minor offenses from 7 a.m. tomorrow. They do this in protest against the stalling in December of talks about a new collective labor agreement. The cabinet refuses to come up with a “decent wage offer”, tweeted the ACP police union. Other police unions are also participating in the action.

The unions call on their members to issue fines only for gross violations of public order and safety, violations of corona regulations and speeding offenses. If not, offenders will receive a warning and a special “action coupon”. It contains information about the promotion.

Negotiations were ongoing in december fixed on wages. The unions demanded an increase in salaries by 2.5 percent in 16 months and two one-off payments of 350 and 300 euros. At best, this will yield a small plus in terms of purchasing power until 2022, say the unions.

According to the unions, Minister Grapperhaus does not want to go further than a wage increase of 1.3 percent and two payments of 300 euros. The cabinet saw no room to further accommodate the unions.
