Yle news anchor Tommy Fränti is engaged to his girlfriend Virpi Valtavaara with. Fränti tells about the good news in his Instagram post.

The couple celebrated their first anniversary in February.

The two recently told Anna-lehti that their love story began at an invitation-only event at Nokia Arena in Tampere in February 2023. The couple fell in love at first sight.

Fränti was left a widow, while the mother of his wife and children Saara Kovero died of cancer in 2022. Kovero was 44 years old when he died.

Fränti got a lot of comments on social media when he told about his new love. Some felt that Fränt should have been single longer.

Fränti spoke openly about the comments he received and responded to them collectively. For advice, he said thanks, but no thanks.
