Bengaluru> A tomato farmer was killed by a gang of robbers in Andhra Pradesh. A farmer named Nareem Rajashekhar Reddy was killed by the assailants for extorting money from the sale of tomatoes in Madanapally in Anamaiya district.
After reaching the field and making sure that the harvest was completed, the farmer was chased and killed. He had sold 70 baskets of tomatoes in the market on Tuesday. The police said that the assailants had come to rob the farmer of his money when the price of tomatoes had gone up. DSP Kesappa, CI Satyanarayana, SI Venkatesh and Sudhakar reached the spot and started investigation.
