Tokyo 2020 Olympics Quarterfinals, Anthony Ginting Always Embarrass Anders Antonsen : Okezone Sports

TOKYO – Badminton Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will face, Anders Antonsen in the quarterfinals Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The Indonesian mainstay has a slick record against the Danish champion. Anthony Ginting has never experienced defeat.

In the previous round, Ginting successfully passed the resistance from the host athlete from Japan, Kanta Tsuneyama, Thursday (29/7/2021) afternoon WIB. Playing at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, Ginting won easily two straight games 21-18 and 21-14.

In the semifinals, Anthony Ginting will face Antonsen. The Danish representative qualified first by eliminating representatives from Great Britain, Toby Penty, 21-10 and 21-15.

The quarter-final match will take place on Sunday 1 August 2021 at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza. Ginting is expected to maintain Indonesia’s hopes of winning a gold medal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics badminton.

The chance to win a medal so far is only in the women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and men’s singles numbers. In the women’s doubles, Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu advanced to the semifinals. The men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, did the same thing.
