BOLASPORT.COM – Indonesian men’s singles badminton, Kento Momota, apologize after failing to qualify from the group stage Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Kento Momota quickly eliminated from Tokyo 2020 Olympics after swallowing a loss in Group A’s match against South Korea’s representative, Heo Kwang-hee.

The world number one player lost two straight games, 15-21, 19-21, from Heo at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, Tokyo, Wednesday (28/7/2021).

With these results, Momota was only able to finish the group stage in second place alias as runner-up.

This is not enough to take him to the next round because according to regulations, only the group winners are entitled to qualify.
