The National Initiative for Maternal and Fetal Health Care, with 13 units and medical centers in all the cities of the governorate, will be launched today, Monday, to follow up on “pregnant women health” to early detection of diseases transmitted from the mother to the fetus and provide treatment and free health care.

For his part, Dr. Ayman Rakha, Undersecretary of the Ministry, confirmed that medical teams have been trained to participate in the work of this initiative, which provides services related to maternal and child health and spread awareness of health problems facing pregnant mothers during the period and after pregnancy, in order to detect HIV infection and HIV and disease Syphilis and early detection of diseases that are transmitted from the mother to the fetus and provide all integrated analyzes and checks in addition to measuring pressure, sugar, weight and height, and providing care and full follow-up to pregnant women before, during and after childbirth .

For her part, Dr. Amani Al-Demerdash, Director of Basic Care in the Directorate, explained that the initiative provides comprehensive health care for the pregnant mother, fetus and newborn during pregnancy and beyond to discover the risk factors for the mother and the newborn and provide the necessary medical care through the basic care units and centers at the governorate level, noting to provide The services of this initiative are in the health units of Abu Essaire, Ras Masala, the urban center in Ras Sidr, the medical center in Abuznima, the health unit in Arayash in Abordes, the maternal and child care center, the medical center in Toshka, the health units in Jubail and the Valley in Sinai, the health unit in Al-Tarfa in Catherine, the medical center in Ruwaisat in Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, and the urban center of Nuweiba.
