TNI-Polri Institutions Not Involved in the Killing of 6 FPI Troops

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Leader of the Murder Incident Guard Team (TP3) Amien Rais assess the parties Police and TNI institutionally not involved in the scenario and implementation of the killing of six FPI Soldiers on the KM50 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

This he conveyed when launching the ‘White Book’ which contains data and facts related to the virtual killing of six FPI troops on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Wednesday (7/7).

“After reading it well, institutionally, this is important, the Police and the TNI are not involved in the scenario at all in the implementation of these gross human rights violations,” said Amien.

Amien said he was grateful that the Indonesian security forces were not institutionally involved. He considered this as good news for the people of Indonesia.

“So friends from the TNI from 3 forces and the Police, you are not involved. Neither the scenario nor the implementation. We are proud that the backbone of the nation’s security, the Police and the TNI are not involved,” said Amien.

Seeing this, Amien requested that the legal process be carried out transparently so that the perpetrators and the masterminds of the murders could be identified and the law could prosecute them to the fullest.

“So that all this time, cases of human rights violations that have been made dim by certain parties are expected to disappear by themselves, this will not happen,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Murder Incident Guard Team (TP3) Marwan Batubara asked that the perpetrators of the murder cases of the six FPI Laskars could still be brought to the Human Rights Court.

“The murder of six HRS guards is a crime against humanity and a gross violation of human rights. So a human rights court should be held in accordance with Law No. 26 of 2000,” said Marwan.

Marwan stated that the White Paper presented the fact that the killing of the 6 Laskar FPI was not an ordinary crime, but a serious violation of human rights.

He also believed that the killing operation was not only carried out by the police alone. “But it involves other armed forces and other apparatuses systematically,” he said.
