With six races spread over three events, the second World Championship season of the electric racing series comes to an end in the summer months. On the Brooklyn Street Circuit, which is directly within sight of the Manhattan skyline, Formula E will be a guest for the fifth time this weekend. This could be the farewell performance. Briton Sam Bird has proven to be a specialist for the street circuit in the Brooklyn district in recent years, having won three of the eight previous races of the New York E-Prix.
In the current Formula E overall standings 2022 After ten of the 16 races of the season, Bird only ranks twelfth. He won’t play a role in the title fight this year. According to the current state of affairs, four drivers will decide among themselves: Edoardo Mortara (Venturi), Jean-Eric Vergne (DS-Techeetah), Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes) and Bird’s Jaguar teammate Mitch Evans.
