The Ministry of Health and Population revealed bad habits that harm the immune system in children, which include lack of movement and lack of regular exercise, which causes children to gain weight, in addition to their lack of psychological comfort, which negatively affects the immune system.

The Ministry of Health and Population continued: Bad habits that harm the entertainment system in children include lack of sleep, not adhering to its schedule, and not getting adequate rest for the body.

It is noteworthy that children’s immunity can be increased when they enter school through the following tips:

1. Provide healthy food

A child with a weak immune system needs special attention and care. Provide your child with enough vegetables and fruits.

Vibrant, colorful vegetables such as bell peppers, broccoli, green beans, carrots, etc. are rich in antioxidants. Fruits such as citrus fruits and oranges are rich in vitamin C, and they boost the immune system. These vegetables and fruits act as a barrier against infections.

Adding leafy vegetables like spinach to your child’s diet chart can be beneficial for him and iron-rich spinach helps in the production of white blood cells.

Don’t forget to also add eggs, grains rich in fatty acids, nuts, beans and seeds. Eggs are a great source of protein. Junk foods and sugary foods should be avoided.

2. Exercise

Regular exercise can benefit children in many ways. An hour of exercise a day keeps children active. It is a good habit for children and adults alike.

You can expect the following benefits from daily exercise – strong bones and muscles, healthy weight and a strong immune system.

Aerobic exercises such as cycling, basketball, football, tennis, swimming, running, walking, etc. can be fun for both parents and school children.

3. Get good sleep for your baby

Children who sleep 10 to 14 hours a day have good mental and physical health because getting enough sleep every day also improves their memory and concentration.

Studies have also shown that a child’s immunity can be affected due to lack of sleep and sleep deprivation. If your child fails to get enough sleep, he is likely to get sick frequently, so to reduce these risks, make sure that your child at school gets enough sleep time every day.

4. Pay attention to mental health

Anxiety, stress, depression – poor mental health in general can affect children’s immune systems negatively.

Stress can make your child more susceptible to infections. To keep your child happy and stress-free, spend plenty of time with him. Talk to your child openly and let him express his thoughts without hesitation. Both parents and teachers in schools should pay attention to students’ mental health and if you have concerns about a child’s emotional health, consider seeking counseling from a psychologist.

5. Get routine checkups and vaccinations

Are you wondering how to boost your child’s immune system? The best thing to do is to teach him some good habits and take care of his health. Getting routine medical checkups is undoubtedly one of the major steps towards a healthy lifestyle. To keep him disease-free and boost his immune system, make sure he gets routine checkups and is vaccinated.

6. Teach good hygiene habits

You don’t have to worry about your child’s immunity when you teach him some good hygiene habits. Some simple habits like sanitizing hands before eating, washing your mouth before and after meals, and using the toilet properly can be helpful when it comes to keeping germs and infections away.

7. No to passive smoking

Secondhand smoke can cause breathing problems in children who breathe at a faster rate than adults. Also, toxins in cigarettes can kill your little one’s healthy cells. If you are concerned about your child’s health and are looking for a children’s immunity booster, it is time to kick the smoking habit. This way, you can maintain a smoke-free environment at home.
