Tip of the week: Corona pandemic is both a blessing and a curse for Allianz

This year, German life insurers will – despite the corona pandemic – achieve the second-best result in the past five years. That said Andreas Wimmer, CEO of Allianz Leben, the Berliner Daily mirror. This is good news after the parent company still does not want to make a forecast due to Corona.

According to Wimmer, life insurers will collect more than 100 billion euros in premiums in 2020. The awareness of having to protect oneself against existential risks has grown. Allianz Leben, the number 1 in the industry, was able to win 60,000 net new customers despite the restrictions on agents.

The news underpins the positive trend in Allianz shares over the past few weeks, which is undoubtedly largely driven by vaccine reports. From a technical point of view, a new interim high could soon be reached and the gap closed at 202.70 euros as the process progresses. The next goals would then only be 232 euros.

How investors could benefit disproportionately from rising prices is explained in the video.

Note on potential conflicts of interest according to §34b WpHG:

The chairman of the board and majority owner of the publisher Börsenmedien AG, Mr. Bernd Förtsch, has taken direct and indirect positions on the following financial instruments mentioned in the publication or related derivatives that benefit from any price development resulting from the publication: Allianz.
