The number of corona cases in Baden-Württemberg has been above a seven-day incidence of 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants for some time. For this reason, the state will implement the announced “emergency brake of the federal government” as early as next Monday (April 19th). This is associated with further restrictions for areas such as retail, culture and schools. The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Health announced this on Friday afternoon.
These stricter rules are due from Monday (April 19) subject to the approval of the departments in Baden-Württemberg:

The emergency brake (from an incidence of 100) contains the following regulations:
- Private meetings in public or private areas are only permitted if at most members of a household and one other person including the children belonging to their household up to the age of 14 participate.
- The operation of Betting offices, Museums, Galleries, zoological and botanical Gardens as well Memorials to the public remains prohibited altogether.
- Sport is only permitted in the form of contactless exercise of individual sports that are exercised alone, in pairs or with members of the own household, as well as when exercising individual and team sports as part of competitive and training operations in top and professional sports.
- Body-hugging Services how Cosmetics-, Nagel-, Massage-, Tattoo– and Piercingstudios as well as from cosmetic foot care facilities and similar facilities are closed with the exception of medically necessary treatments (in particular physiotherapy and occupational therapy, speech therapy, podiatry and foot care). Also Tanning salons are to be closed.
- For customers of Hairdressers and Barbershops is a previous one Rapid test required.
- The operation of music-, art– and Youth art schools is only permitted as part of online lessons.
- Retail stores are no longer allowed to offer pick-up offers. Only delivery services are allowed.
- So far Retail stores the basic service, in particular from the Food sector, remain open, the limit on the maximum permissible sales area per customer is tightened again from 10 to 20 square meters (for shops up to 800 square meters) and from 20 to 40 square meters (for areas exceeding 800 square meters).
- Hardware stores are closed.
- There is one night exit restriction from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Leaving the apartment is only permitted if there are valid reasons.
- Day care centers and schools are closed for attendance operations on three consecutive days with an incidence of 200 or more. Exceptions are made in particular for graduating classes.
