Three representatives ran aground, Fajar/Rian Asa Tunggal Indonesia

KOMPAS.com – Quarter-final matches Thailand Open 2022 has been rolled out on Friday (20/5/2022).

As for the match in Thailand Open schedule 2022 has been held at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Thailand.

The Indonesian badminton team only had one representative who managed to win the match in the quarter-finals.

One representative of the Indonesian badminton team is Dawn Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto. As a result, they are now Indonesia’s only hope to win the title at the Thailand Open 2022.

Fajar/Rian secured victory in the quarter-finals when they faced representatives of Japan, Keiichiro Matsui/Yoshinori Takeuchi through a three-game game via a score of 21-14, 19-21, and 21-4.

Fajar/Rian’s success confirms the next step semifinal Thailand Open 2022 was not followed by other Indonesian representatives.

The three Indonesian representatives who fell in the quarter-finals of the Thailand Open 2022 were Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami (mixed doubles), Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan (men’s doubles), and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito (men’s singles).

Akbar/Marsheilla, who opened Indonesia’s struggle at the Thailand Open 2022, had to lose to the second seed from China Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong.

Zheng/Huang beat Akbar/Marsheilla through a two-game straight game with a score of 21-16 and 21-14.

Meanwhile, Ahsan/Hendra and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito also swallowed the bitter pill after failing to win.

Ahsan / Hendra kandas kala melawan Kim Astrup / Andres Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark), Shesar Hiren Rhustavito kalah dari Lee Zii Jia (Malaysia).
