Three People in Abu Dhabi Sentenced to Dh50,000 Fine and Community Service for Reckless Driving Practice on Public Roads

Abu Dhabi: Punishment for those who practiced driving on the road. In Al Ain, three people were sentenced to a fine of Dh50,000 each and community service. The authorities hope that this punishment will help to convince the offenders and outsiders of the seriousness of the violation of the law.

The driving licenses of the three who took driving lessons will be suspended for three months. The court also ruled to confiscate the vehicles. The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department sentenced the violators to community service, including road washing. The Al Ain Traffic Crime Court found that the three hit the vehicles recklessly, endangering the lives of passengers in other vehicles.

The three were driving cars without number plates in a loud noise and in a way that destroyed public property. The incident came to light after the youth’s driving practice video went viral on social media. With this, the youths were found and arrested by the police and the case was handed over to the public prosecution for legal proceedings.
