Presenter Hélène Hendriks has received a “firm threat” because of her connection with the discontinued talk show Today Inside. Hendriks said that on Friday evening in the SBS talk show HLF8. It was clear from the conversation that she is being threatened with death.
Hendriks, who has replaced Johnny de Mol as the presenter of HLF8 since this week, accused of misconduct, has been occasionally seen in the shows around VI for many years. Even since Today Inside was on TV, she regularly joined as a table lady.
Kaarsincident
The program has been discredited because of the candle incident around Johan Derksen, who said in a broadcast this week that he penetrated an unconscious woman with a candle years ago. The football analyst later came back to this, but the statements had already caused a lot of fuss. On Friday, Derksen and Wilfred Genee and René van der Gijp announced that they would stop at Today Inside.
“Perhaps good to indicate in advance: I will not give too much opinion about this”, Hendriks said when the likely end of Today Inside was discussed at HLF8. “That is actually on the orders of the police because there is a strong threat. They have urgently advised me to keep aloof. Of course I have a reasonable link to VI.” The presenter also states that she is not the only one who receives threats. Hendriks did not mention any names.
