Lareb has received nearly 10,000 reports of menstrual disorders after receiving a corona vaccine. According to the side effects center, the complaints range from lack of menstruation, heavy menstruation, to breakthrough bleeding. There are also complaints about bleeding after the menopause, Lareb announced.

Lareb underlines that menstrual disorders are also common without vaccination. “They can also have many causes, such as an infection, illness or stress. It is not yet clear whether menstrual disorders are a side effect of the corona vaccines, but there is a possibility. The vaccine stimulates the immune system and this may have an effect on hormone levels,” said Lareb.

Further investigation
The side effects center maps all reports and conducts further investigations. Menstrual disorders after vaccination are also being investigated internationally. ANP
