This year’s awards Gold microphone organizers, association Latvian Association of Producers, Publishers and Distributors of Sound Recordings or LaMPA, has decided to abolish the entry fee for the submission of entries. Until now, when submitting an entry, it was necessary to pay a registration fee of 25 euros for each category for which the entry is applied for.
“The past year has been full of uncertainty and anxiety. The everyday life of musicians has become very different and the future is unpredictable. However, in spite of everything, musicians continue to create, record and be with their listeners in every possible way. in fact the only way to stay creative and not get lost in the whirlpool of Covid-19. Gold microphone, celebrating its 25th anniversary, wants to facilitate the procedure for submitting recordings and delight musicians by allowing them to apply for the most important award of the year in music without additional expenses. Also this year, we will place emphasis on submitting entries in electronic format, thus also facilitating the submission process. We have prepared everything so that musicians can apply for participation remotely. However, those who want the visual design of the recording to be evaluated will still be able to submit it in physical format – as convenient for everyone, “says LaMPA Chairman of the Board, Awards Gold microphone producer Elita Mīlgrāve.
The annual acceptance of entries for the award will start on November 1 Gold microphone and will continue until December 2. All entries issued between 2 December 2019 and 1 December 2020 will be accepted for evaluation.
