Camping De Worp has been open all year since 2016. More and more guests have indicated that they would like to camp near the IJssel in winter. From Tuesday this is no longer possible. Formally, Rijkswaterstaat is right with the closure.
The camping area is the responsibility of Rijkswaterstaat and falls under the water law. Within this, a permit is possible for, for example, the management of a campsite. The authorization procedure goes through the municipality of Deventer, which failed to do so. The permit states that the campsite cannot open between November 1st and April 1st. That step was overlooked by the congregation.
