It is Mother’s Day and although this year is celebrated under slightly different circumstances than usual, that does not stop most Dutch people from celebrating their mothers.
For example, Nicolette van Dam got breakfast in bed. “We hit all three with our Nic”, writes her husband Bas Smit. “It is not difficult to have fun when you have the tailwind, but the real top players come up in a headwind. Nic is such an incredible winner, she even leads the storm.”

Monique Westenberg was also treated to a nice breakfast. André Hazes, on the other hand, had to go to protein to stay fit. “Difference in breakfast”, the singer wrote to the photo, after which he added a glum looking emoticon.

Wendy van Dijk only needs to visit the neighbor. “My dear mom! We live next to each other so keep a close eye on each other,” the presenter writes under one photo from her mother and herself. “I am incredibly proud of you. Birgit Schuurman is sure: “I REALLY HAVE THE LOVEST MOM OF THE WORLD!” On her Instagram let them know that this actually applies to her entire family.

Gordon can no longer spend Mother’s Day with his mother. That’s why he gets up Instagram silent on her. He is also happy with his ‘bonus mom’ Tineke de Nooij. “My real mom is no longer there but my bonus mom is still very much alive! Happy Mother’s Day everyone!”
