This is how to buy bulk cooking oil using the PeduliProtect application

JAKARTAKOMPAS.com – Cooking oil is one of the household needs that cannot be ruled out. This is because almost all households in Indonesia consume foods that are processed using cooking oil.

Therefore, the government provides the main convenience for the poor by imposing a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter for People’s Bulk Cooking Oil (MGCR). However, the purchase of MGCR is of course under strict supervision, so that its distribution can be more evenly distributed.

As for limiting the purchase of MGCR, the government enforces purchases using the PeduliLindung application, or by showing a NIK. This is to overcome repeated purchases by the public.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said, MGCR can be obtained by the public through sellers/retailers who are officially registered in the Simirah 2.0 program and also through Logistics and Retail Service Business Actors (PUJLE), namely Food and Savory Shops.

Luhut said, there will be socialization that will be carried out starting tomorrow, Monday 27 June 2022 to 10 July 2022. After that, on Monday, 11 July 2022, people who want to buy bulk cooking oil for Rp. 14,000 per liter must use PeduliLindungi or NIK.

“The socialization period will start on Monday and will last for the next two weeks. After the socialization period is complete, the public must use the PeduliLindung application or show their NIK, to be able to get the MGCR with the highest retail price (HET),” Luhut said in an official statement, Friday (24/6/2022).

The provisions for buying MGCR at the consumer level will be limited to a maximum of 10 kg for one NIK per day. Luhut hopes that the use of PeduliLindungi to purchase MGCR can improve monitoring and supervision to mitigate fraud that causes scarcity and also increases in cooking oil prices.
