The new NFL season is scheduled to start on the night of September 10th, 2020 and end with the Super Bowl LV on February 7th, 2021.

2020 NFL season opener with defending champions Kansas City Chiefs
The new NFL season, it is the 101st overall, starts on the night of September 10th to 11th, 2020.
In the opening game, which will start at 2:20 a.m. German time, the reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans face each other.

Eight games will be played simultaneously on Sunday, September 13th – for the New England Patriots, for example, the game against the Miami Dolphins will begin the year 1 after the Tom Brady era.
Brady makes his debut in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at 10:25 p.m.
In parallel with this game, the San Francisco 49ers, the Super Bowl finalist of the preseason, against the Arizona Cardinals, will start the 2020 NFL season.
Opening Week will end on Tuesday (September 15) with the game Denver Broncos – Tennessee Titans.

What’s new in the 2020/21 NFL season?
There’s a new team in the NFL – the Las Vegas Raiders. The team was shipped from Oakland to the gambling metropolis in Nevada.
The Washington Redskins are now called differently: Due to racism debates, the questionable club name was changed – to Washington Football Team.
For the first time in his NFL career, quarterback superstar Tom Brady is NOT playing for the New England Patriots. He joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that summer.
The mode of the playoffs has been changed: From this season 14 instead of the previous 12 teams will be represented in the playoffs. → More here: The new NFL playoff mode
Due to the Corona crisis, the NFL Start 2020 will take place without spectators in the stadiums. We will only see what effects the lack of support from the ranks will have.

Who are the Super Bowl favorites for the new season?
Before the start of the 2020 NFL season, of course, everything revolves around one question: Who will win the Super Bowl LV?
Is it up to the NFL betting odds from bookmakers, then the Kansas City Chiefs will win the 2021 Super Bowl.

The first challenger, however, is not the San Francisco 49ers, who were just inferior to the Super Bowl bosses in the preseason, but the Baltimore Ravens.
Only behind are the 49ers, followed by the New Orleans Saints.
With regard to the Super Bowl, two other teams are particularly in focus before the start of the NFL season:

Before NFL start: Chiefs are Super Bowl favorites

New mode for the NFL start 2020/21
With the start of the season, a change to the familiar NFL mode will also come into force.
Die NFL Play-offs are increased from 12 to 14 teams.
That means: In the AFC-Concerence and the NFC-Concerence, seven teams each make it into the playoffs. These are the winners of the individual divisions plus three wild card teams per conference.
In future, only the best AFC and NFC teams will receive a bye for the first playoff round. So far, the two best teams in a Concerence have been free of play in the first playoff round.

The wild cards go to the two best teams in a conference that could not win their division.
It is quite possible that three teams from a division will reach the play-offs if the third-placed team in one division is better than the second-placed team in the other three divisions.
One thing remains unchanged: Each conference determines its best team in the play-offs, so that in the end a team from the AFC will play for the Super Bowl with a team from the NFC.

NFL TV broadcast & livestream for Germany
The NFL can also be seen in great detail in Germany in the 2020/21 season.
On Pro Sieben and Pro7 Maxx, at least two games per game day can be seen live during the regular season – from 7:00 p.m. and from 10:05 p.m. or 10:25 p.m.
