The years go by and look the same for the new football broadcasters in France. In 2019, we remember that RMC Sport had some hiccups for its launch in the Champions League. This time, it is the Téléfoot channel which experienced failures for the broadcasting of the Sunday afternoon matches.
From the start of the match between Stade de Reims and LOSC (0-1), the problems began with several messages of apology from the broadcaster. The situation was the same for the 3 p.m. matches, notably with ASSE-FC Lorient (2-0), SCO Angers-Girondins de Bordeaux (0-2) or FC Nantes-Nîmes Olympique (2-1). Pierre Ménès was quietly preparing his screen when he realized that he could not see anything and therefore analyze so little for his blog.
Ménès victim of Telefoot syndrome
“I’m going to attack this first Ligue 1 post of the season with excuses: those of not being able to talk about five of the six games that took place on Sunday, he breathed. Yes, but to talk about the matches, the best is still to see them. However, I was one of the many victims of the Telefoot computer problem. And I’m not happy about it because it prevents me from doing my job properly. I will not comment further on this subject, I just hope that a solution will quickly be found so that the French championship has the visibility it deserves, which is absolutely not the case at the moment. “All this is a shame: Ménès could have spoken well of ASSE, FC Nantes and Girondins, with whom he was not always tender last season in terms of play.
“The Olympics are off to a good start”
OL and OM start with a victory. As for the other matches, to tell you about them I would have had to be able to see them … https://t.co/GorX70Kvjg pic.twitter.com/6JZT83d8Yr– Pierre Ménès (@PierreMenes) August 30, 2020
