Caterina Valente has not performed for about 20 years and lives near Lugano in Switzerland. In 1996, Caterina decided to retire. After that she was seen a few more times on TV and in 1999 she recorded her last CD “Girltalk”.
The last song on the album is a revised version of the first song the singer ever sang. “Papa n’a pas voulu” is the last song with which Caterina said goodbye to the music business.
