Flashback maybe it doesn’t have as cult status as Prince of Persia, however, is definitely one of the unforgettable bouncers from the early nineties. As in the aforementioned Prince, all the animations were processed using the rotoscopy technique (manual redrawing of film frames) and looked absolutely fantastic for their time.
Almost nothing is known about Flashback 2 yet. We know that the same protagonist Conrad B. Hart will play the main role, that the game should be released next year on a PC and console, and that its development is overseen by Paul Cuisset, director of the original Flashback.
“I’ve been thinking about developing a sequel to Flashback for a very long time. I can’t wait for players to discover the new adventures of Conrad B. Hart, a character created almost thirty years ago. With Microids, we really try to please the fans of the original title and at the same time be attractive to all players with a weakness for futuristic games, “said Cusseit.
Flashback was released on the Amiga in 1992, but then looked at many other platforms. And in 1995 he saw the sequel Fade to Black. What didn’t do very well is a remake of Flashback from 2013. Relatively recently, Flashback was mentioned in the annual edition, so we can play it on new platforms such as Switch.
