The police arrested a 17-year-old Rotterdam citizen on Thursday in the investigation into the fatal stabbing that took place earlier this month at the Pier in Scheveningen. The minor is suspected of incitement and open violence, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) reported on Friday.
Earlier, two twenty-year-old men from Amsterdam were arrested. “They are suspected of manslaughter in association. Their remand on Thursday was extended by the court chamber of the court for ninety days,” said the OM.
The stabbing took place on August 10 and is, according to several media, the result of a quarrel between the two drillrap groups Blacka 24 and 73 De Pijp. A nineteen-year-old man from Rotterdam died.
A large investigation team from the police in The Hague is working on the case. Shortly after the stabbing, there were also signals of possible revenge actions.
Rapper Blacka expressed regret on Instagram. He also said he did not know how the quarrel between the rival groups had started. “This whole drill beef doesn’t make sense at the end of the day,” said the rapper.
