Mexico.- The Ministry of Health of Mexico held a conference to present the daily technical report regarding the coronavirus, confirming a third case imported from coronavirus, associated with the other two, who had arrived in Mexico from Italy.
The imported cases are associated with four men who had a business trip to Bergamo, Italy, where the virus went off in a short time.
Of these four men, two had been confirmed in the morning: one in Mexico City and the other in Sinaloa. The third man in the group found himself asymptomatic in the State of Mexico. The fourth person encountered suspicious signs, due to this he was tested to confirm his contagion to COVID-19.
The Undersecretary of Health Prevention and Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell Ramírez explained that it is impossible to prevent the outbreak of the virus from spreading through Mexico, however, it will seek to reduce the impact that the disease may have.
Similarly Lopez-Gatell reiterated that it is possible that the virus is present around the world for approximately 2 years, due to the experience of past viruses such as the H1N1 Influenza.
So far the three confirmed cases of coronavirus or Covid-19 occurred during a convention in Bergamo, Italy, between February 14 and 22. In that country, the coronavirus outbreak shot up in a short period of time.
First case
This is a man of Mexican nationality, 35, who made a trip to Italy in recent weeks. He is currently in Mexico City, isolated in the hospital of the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER).
Second case
The second case is a Mexican, 41, a resident of Hidalgo, but is currently isolated in a hotel in Culiacán, Sinaloa.
Third case
The third patient confirmed tonight, this is a man, 59, who also traveled to Bergamo, Italy last days, who is at home in Mexico City, has mild symptoms.
There are currently 3 suspected cases under investigation in Mexico: two in Guanajuato and one in Durango.
Quirino Ordaz Coppel, Governor of Sinaloa, where the second case of coronavirus was confirmed wrote in his social networks that there is no emergency so far, so no public event in the State will be canceled.
