They will invest 5 mp for intervention of pedestrian crossings

The Ministry of Mobility of the municipality of Puebla contemplates an investment of five million pesos for the removal of pedestrian bridges and construction of ground-level crossings in five trouble spots in the city by 2020.

The pedestrian bridges to be removed would be those located at: El BINE, Carmen Serdán, Plaza Dorada, San Bartolo and La Margarita.

He explained that in some cases the bridge will be left and the pedestrian crossing will be made so that people get used to it, and in others that are abandoned, the entire structure would be removed and the crossing would be built.

“The objective is to remove all of them, they are anti-pedestrian bridges, the steps would include signage, traffic lights with sound for blind people,” he said.

As for the bollards that caused such a stir among citizens, Covian Carrizales pointed out that before continuing to place such urban furniture, he will submit to consultation with the Mobility Commission for approval by the Cabildo, for the moment, he commented that he has two requests for placement in the San Sebastián neighborhood and the El Parral area.

“We are going to send the citizen requests as it was in the Cabildo agreement of February 14, which the councilors have to approve in the Historic Center,” he said.
