Foxconn: deliveries to factories have started again – IT Pro – News

Deliveries to Foxconn’s factories in China and Taiwan have restarted, and the pace of factory resumption is “exceeding expectations,” said Foxconn founder Terry Gou.

Now that supplies to factories are back to normal, Gou thinks that production may return to normal in the near future, Reuters writes. Many of the company’s Foxconn sites and suppliers are located in China, so production in February was difficult due to the outbreak of the new corona virus.

Gou says consumer demand for electronics is likely to decline in the coming months, especially in the United States. “That consumers spend money is the key to economic recovery,” said the manufacturer’s top executive.

He is also concerned about the prices of dram, which are rising again, and that there is a shortage of screens. He did not mention for which devices there are too few screens. The Taiwanese company produces electronics for many large companies.
