They maintain a permanent campaign to detect cervical cancer in women – El Sol de Durango

In order to timely detect dysplasia and cervical cancer in women in the municipality of Durango, the Municipal Institute for Women (IMM) and Municipal Public Health have a permanent campaign to promote comprehensive health and channel users to the corresponding health centers and even provides accompaniment.

The director of the IMM, Olga Patricia Alanís Quiñones reported that this week a woman with limited resources was accompanied, who was detected with breast cancer three years ago but who after her pregnancy did not follow up on her condition, and now asks help to start a treatment.

She was advised on the necessary procedures and the donation of a wheelchair was also managed with the State DIF, but this case of the 47-year-old user will be followed up.

Given this fact, Alanís Quiñones highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of prevention and timely detection since it is the only opportunity to act on time.

Women who require the service of this campaign in terms of mammography, pap smear or other services can go to the Health Diagnosis and Control Clinic located on the Mexico highway, kilometer 15, from 9 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon.

In addition to medical services, it is about promoting the integral health of women, through talks and workshops.
