RMF FM: Anti-terrorists carried firearms at the protests
The broadcasting station indicates that policemen from sub-units “usually secure assemblies without weapons – they leave them in a deposit.” It includes restrictions related to the use of firearms in a crowd or the risk of losing them, e.g. during scuffles.
RMF FM reports that according to management the police of a BOA officer did not create compact units. In reality, however, they acted similarly to riot police, for example creating a cordon with uniformed policemen.
Wednesday’s protest against the abortion ruling by the Constitutional Tribunal took place in several locations in the capital. The protesters appeared, among others under a completely fenced off by the police The Seymand when the access to the building was blocked by policemen, a large group of them gathered at Powstańców Warszawy Square, near which the editorial office is located TVP. ID cards and detentions took place in different parts of the city. The Warsaw police said that more than 20 people were detained during the Women’s Strike demonstration.
