the mayor of Recoleta led the launch of a new purchase option at the Recoletras Popular Bookstore.
In the instance, the sale of the books available in the digital catalog began through the website www.libreriarecoletras.cl of any person, regardless of the commune that lives throughout the country and with home delivery.
The launch activity gave the go to this platform that in a first stage already has a hundred titles availableto reach more than 2 thousand books for sale in the short term.
Jadue indicated that “this is an important step in democratizing access to reading and culture, reaching the entire country. Even more so understanding that there are 297 communes in Chile that do not have any type of bookstore in their territories and that most are concentrated in 5 regions. With this step, we seek to continue mass reading at a fair price”, he clarified.
The Recoletras Popular Bookstorewhere this new online modality is hosted, has been in operation for more than three years and has a catalog of more than 7 thousand titles between books and music.
To date it they have sold more than 23 thousand worksalong with thousands of other records, vinyls, DVDs and items related to music such as headphones, turntables, among others.
The new one online sales platform is fully operational and it has online payment and home delivery for the entire national territory.
