MUIANEWS, Kudus – The WhatsApp (WA) conversation application can be used to send photos, text and voice messages, video calls to videos. No wonder that almost all mobile phone users install this application to support their daily activities.

However, there is one thing that WA users often experience so far. Namely, HP’s memory is full because of the large amount of WA data that is automatically stored.

For users who are not familiar with technology, they may get confused. You see, they don’t have many applications on their cellphones.

Then why does the storage memory run out quickly because of chat data from WhatsApp? Launching from Teknologi.id, basically all chats from WA will be recorded and stored in the cellphone memory (HP). WA chats that accumulate for a long time will take up a lot of storage space.

HP memory storage will be more crowded if the chat contains large files such as photos, videos, or audio. The more full use of empty memory on the cellphone by WA, of course, there is a risk of reducing device performance.

So that HP storage is not crowded with data from WA chat, of course by deleting media files stored in memory. However, how to delete these files is different on each device.

On iPhone, files can be deleted by going to “Settings” in the Whatsapp app. Then select “Storage and Data” and click “Manage Storage” then delete the entire list of media stored in WA.

Another way that can be done so that the memory is not full of WA data is to use the Disappearing Message feature. This feature will automatically delete chat activity that has been done.

The user can set the storage duration and it can be automatically deleted. In this feature, users are provided with 24 hours, seven days to 90 days. Below is how to enable Disappearing Messages.

1. Open the chat room of the person you want to delete the chat from and select “Contact Info”

2. Next, select the “Disappearing Message” feature and you will be presented with a time option for the chat to be deleted.

3. Select the desired time range between 24 hours, seven days, or 90 days
