There is certainty in distance classes for high school students in Tlaxcala

In Tlaxcala, high school students have certainty with their online classes, since the upper secondary education subsystems agreed that more than 90% of the students connect through the different platforms they selected.

And, at the national level, according to a survey conducted by the National Commission for Continuous Improvement, among the most frequent reasons for not going back to school, regardless of the modality, are financial difficulties. Students who are in high school are not sure about retaking classes.

After stating that they make efforts to avoid school dropouts, they agreed that the training the teachers received helped them to better organize their online classes, in addition to supporting young people. They explained that despite the non-contact classes, they have academic actions such as the organization of science, culture and recreational activities to pay for the training of their school community.

Thus, the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Tlaxcala and Telebachilleratos Comunitarios (Cobat-TBC) confirmed that the connection of students to online classes through the various digital platforms is more than 90 percent.

He said that for young people who do not have access to the internet, they can deliver homework and work through email, social networks and via cell phone, but in general, most show their interest in participating in distance classes in different fields. disciplinary.

Cobat-TBC recognized the work of teachers who teach their classes online, using different technological tools and generating opportunities to improve educational work.

For its part, the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of Tlaxcala, specified that 90% of its registered students connect to classes every day through the Class Room platform.

In this regard, the student Litzy Ariana Aguilar Islas, a student at the Distance Higher Education School (EMSAD) 10, from Francisco Villa of the Sanctórum municipality, affirmed that there is learning with distance classes.

He acknowledged that he misses going to school, living with friends, classmates and teachers, but shared that the time he uses for his distance classes is in the afternoon. The subjects that he takes in EMSAD are Points and Lines of Imaginary Circles, Ecological Triad, Communication Sciences, Differential Calculus, Programming and Information Systems and Administration and Socioeconomic Structure of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the National College of Technical Professional Education (Conalep) in Tlaxcala, highlighted that 95% of its students participate in online classes through the Microsoft Teams platform.

He affirmed that they will seek to improve the technological tools they use to strengthen the teaching and learning process of their school community, in addition to the use of simulators for laboratories.

In this regard, Sharon N., a student from Conalep, said that distance education allows them to learn more about technology and handle it properly. “It is an advantage to know how to use it, to be able to know more than what technology gives, but we were used to living with classmates and teachers.”

Meanwhile, Nahomí N. does not have a computer, so he attends the Amaxac de Guerrero campus to use the tools and be able to access his classes online, with preventive measures due to the pandemic.
