On Saturday, an individual in his thirties gave a slap to his companion while they were in the middle of the street in the Guillemins district in Liège. Passers-by who attended the scene then contacted the police.
The victim has two broken teeth and a damaged jaw. She was incapacitated for 15 days from work. At first, she did not wish to file a complaint. She finally agreed.
The suspect is known to the courts for assault and battery. He had already been sentenced to a suspended sentence for this type of incident. It will soon be subject to an accelerated procedure.
