The Women in Peace City project begins

• They report that it will serve more than 50 municipalities in the eastern zone of the State of Mexico.

• Provide services such as educational care, sexual and reproductive guidance, economic autonomy, care and protection of women’s rights and the right to justice.

La Paz, State of Mexico, March 13, 2022. To give continuity to the advances of the Women’s Cities that will be built, as announced by the Governor of the State of Mexico, in La Paz and San Mateo Atenco, the inter-ministerial work table was held, with which these projects begin.

When directing this table, the head of the Women’s Secretariat, specified that the objective of the meeting is the consolidation of the spaces that the dependencies will occupy, with which the project begins.

Accompanied by the municipal Mayor, the Secretary reviewed the approaches of the government agencies in charge of meeting the demands and needs of women from more than 50 municipalities in the eastern part of the entity.

This architectural project will be a setting in which both women and their sons and daughters feel safe, which is why, among other facilities, it will have recreational spaces.

In these spaces, they will provide comprehensive care to girls, adolescents and women to guarantee access to their human rights through services such as educational care, sexual and reproductive orientation, economic autonomy, care and protection of women’s rights and the right to justice. .

Present at the table were the head of the DIFEM Attorney General’s Office for the Defense of Minors, the entity’s Undersecretary for Urban Development and Works, the Labor Secretariat, through ICATI, as well as remote details from the Attorney General’s Office of Justice and the Judicial Power of the State of Mexico, among others.
