The woman injured this Wednesday when she was attacked by her husband in Cartagena cShe continues to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital in Murcia, in a very serious condition.
It was the aggressor himself who, after hitting him on the head with a hammer, alerted the Local Police of Cartagena about what happened, for which reason it was agents of that body who proceeded to arrest him. Later, it was made available to the National Police, which has taken over the investigation of this alleged case of gender violence.
The 1-1-2 received, at 12:44 pm this Wednesday, a call from Príncipe de Asturias street reporting the incident. A National Police patrol and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) attended the scene with health personnel from the Urgencies and Health Emergencies Management 061. After being stabilized, the victim, a 62-year-old woman, was transferred to the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital from Murcia, where he entered the ICU.
