Web TN.cz on Thursday published a plea for help in finding the hero, who pulled a woman and a five-year-old boy from a burning car during an accident in Klášterec nad Ohří on Saturday, December 5, and suffered burns himself. The number of shares on Friday exceeded one thousand, thanks to the audience, the TN.cz editorial staff managed to connect with the rescuer’s wife, Mrs. Helena.
Racing before the accident
Ms. Helena rejects speculation that her husband would race on the road in Klášterec, thus contributing to the tragic accident in which the driver of one of the cars burned down. According to CNN Prima News, witnesses to the accident were to come up with this information.
“My friends told me that something like this happened. But that’s not true at all. If you talk to anyone in our circle of acquaintances, your husband is called a unit of goodness. There was definitely no race, nothing like that,” says Mrs. Helena.
During Saturday’s accident, two cars collided in Klášterec. As already mentioned, a man, a woman and a five-year-old traveled in one. The second car was driven by a young man who, according to police, apparently got in the opposite direction due to excessive speed, and then there was a head-on collision.
According to witnesses, the young man was supposed to race with his friends – one of them was supposed to be a rescuer. This was denied not only by Mrs. Helena, but also by his friend Mr. P., who according to his words was also at the accident. Mrs. Helena also refuted that it was a group of racing friends. “My husband is 53,” she said. “These things that are spreading definitely don’t deserve it,” she said. However, according to the man who had only been involved in the accident after the collision and wished to remain anonymous, all the men knew each other and raced with fast cars. The source of his information refused to tell the TN.cz editorial office.
Police are investigating the case and cannot divulge the details. “The case is still under investigation by the criminal police service,” said Chief Inspector Ludmila Světláková.
The course of the accident
“He had no accident in front of him at all, on the contrary. He heard a blow, saw flames immediately in the rearview mirror, turned it around, came back and saved people,” Mrs. Helena described the incident from her husband’s point of view. “If he didn’t want to save anyone, I don’t think anyone would blame him,” she added.
“Immediately after the accident, he was in such a state, in such a shock that he called me and asked where to go to Prague to the hospital with a slightly burnt hand. He sent me a photo and I told him to stop and call immediately. ambulance, “Mrs. Helena continued.
“I understood that he had come to the accident, pulled out the child, the woman, but unfortunately the driver was blocked by the car that crashed, so for the driver he reached over the passenger seat. And there was the heat that if the other hero – our nephew Simon – he didn’t pull his ass out of the car, so he said his husband would stay there. He didn’t want to give it up. Simon said that if he stayed there longer, he would inhale and also die there, “she revealed.
“He was in a crazy trance. Well, I think then she stopped other cars there and that he already felt useless there and that he got involved there. So he got in the car and drove away. So Simon stayed there to answer some more questions. “when the police arrive and so on,” Ms Helena explained.
According to her, her nephew Simon was supposed to go by car to the car that caught fire after the accident. She did not know anything about Mr. P. being in an accident, but she did not rule out this possibility. She confirmed to the TN.cz editorial office that she was her husband’s acquaintance.
Only in the car did the rescuer call for help. “He was so shocked that he didn’t even use the app, but he called an ambulance over 112. He was just completely out of trouble that he couldn’t pull the man out and that they were watching him burn there,” Mrs. Helena continued.
He suffered injuries while saving his lives
“Then he used the words,” I never want to talk about what I’ve experienced and seen there again. “So far, I haven’t even been able to talk to him much about it,” she revealed. She visited him at the hospital for the first time on Friday afternoon. Visits are currently more complicated due to the coronavirus epidemic.
“He has surgery on Monday. He has third-degree burns on his hands. He waited a few days to see if he could heal on his own. But it reassures me that these are all things that heal on their own, “the wife breathed. “Both hands are burned and tied, but the operation involves only one,” she added.
Mrs. Helena does not rule out the chance that her husband would like to speak in the media later. “I don’t know at what horizon. I really had no idea that a person could get into the mental state his husband is in now. They were also advised to start taking antidepressants,” she said.
According to her, there should be no problem in the meeting with Mr. Tibor, who asked TN.cz for help in finding the hero. The rescued woman was his mother and boy his nephew. She would like to personally thank Mrs. Helena and nominate him for the Michal Velíšek Award.
According to Mr. P., however, the rescuer is not currently in a state where he would like to be publicized. This is also due to speculation about races that are spreading through social networks.
