Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko believes that war with Russia may extend over many decades.
He said this in interview Alese Bacman.
“The war with the Russians will last like the war between Israel and the Arabs. That is, it will be a process that will stretch for many decades … They want us to be gone. And until a leader appears in Russia who switches the button to remote control of Russian propaganda and instead of accusing the Ukrainians of all sins, he will say: “Let’s be friends”, nothing will work,” Gerashchenko said.
He suggested that the “coup of consciousness” in the Russian Federation may take 10-20 years.
“Let’s say right away that someday there will be peace between Ukraine and Russia, but this will probably take decades … But this is a matter of the distant future. For now, we need to win, to endure,” the adviser to the minister said.
It should be noted that earlier Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, stated that the war with Russia may last until 2035during this period regular military clashes are “guaranteed”.
Recall that the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in the early morning of February 24.
