The US Eurovision, officially called the American Song Contest, is already a fact and NBC is preparing to hold it starting this March. An American version of the song contest that this Friday, March 4, has presented its main protagonists: its 56 contestants.

A large group of participants including well-known artists from past decades such as the 80s, 90s or 2000s. Among them, Michael Bolton or Jewel, the latter recently winning the American The Mask Singer.

Both will have to face the 54 remaining candidates from the corresponding states in a festival that will be presented by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg and that can be seen on NBC from next March 21. An appointment that will last until May 9, when the grand final will be held that will determine which state is the winner.

An appointment that will be the starting point for a project that has been playing for years in the circles closest to the Eurovision Song Contest but that for many reasons had not been confirmed until a few months ago, when the United States and NBC finally gave the green light to his interpretation of the contest.
