Al-Marsad Newspaper: The BBC revealed the story of the invention of the egg carton, in which trade generates $8 billion annually, after it became the primary method for preserving eggs in food stores.
The newspaper pointed out that the inventor of the idea more than a century ago is a Canadian newspaper owner named Joseph Cowell, who began thinking about the issue after he heard a heated discussion between a hotel owner and a farmer, due to the latter’s delivery of a shipment of eggs, half of which was broken inside the basket.
And manufactured “Quil”, an egg carton made of cardboard using newspaper pages, where he decided in 1919, to sell the newspaper he owned, and travel around North America, to sell and promote his invention, but he did not become rich thanks to this invention because he was not managing his business wisely.
