The United States transfers Patriot / Day anti-aircraft missiles to Poland

Following an order from the defense minister and responding to a request from the Polish allies, EUCOM commander General Rod Walters has ordered a US contingent to relocate two Patriot batteries to Poland in Europe and Africa, Miller said.

The relocation of anti-aircraft missiles is taking place as part of a defense deployment to counter any possible threat to US and NATO allies in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Miller emphasized that the move was in no way intended to support any offensive operations.
