Rider Repsol Honda, Mark Marquezfinished the race United States MotoGP in sixth position. The result was called Baby Alien’s expectations.
When racing at the Circuit of The America, Monday (11/4/2022) early in the morning WIB, the rider Gresini Racing, Enea Bastianini, which is the winner. He devoured 20 laps with a time of 41 minutes 23.111 seconds.
Marc Marquez comeback after not starting in the last two races in MotoGP 2022. The 29-year-old rider was able to finish in sixth position with a time of 6.617 seconds slower than Bastianini.
About the comeback in Austin this time, Mark Marquez revealed that he was physically exhausted in the last six laps. Therefore, he only wanted to be able to finish the race in the last laps.
“After the first corner, a new race started for me, it was kind of a sprint race. I knew that I did 20 laps with 100 percent risk, I wasn’t in a good condition at the end,” Marquez said as reported by Speedweek.
“Nevertheless, I gave everything I could. But, five or six laps before the end, my body gave me a signal: ‘it’s over I don’t have enough strength’. Since then, I’ve just tried to get the bike to the finish line.”
“I was able to set a good pace during the race. However, the end result was not what we expected,” he added.
With an additional 10 points on the race in the US MotoGP, Mark Marquez has now collected 21 points. He sits in 13th position in the 2022 MotoGP standings, 40 points behind Enea Bastianini who sits at the top of the rankings.
