The Department of Defense and Xiaomi have reached this agreement within the framework of the legal process that involves them. After being included in the ‘black list’ in January, the Chinese manufacturer of ‘smartphones’ decided to file a lawsuit against that decision. Already in March, the US Justice suspended in a precautionary way the inclusion of Xiaomi in said list.
Despite the agreement in court, both parties still need to agree on the details. The Defense Department has yet to officially withdraw its plans to ‘blacklist’ Xiaomi.
