The United States said on Thursday that the reconciliation between the Palestinian Hamas movement and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad shows the latter’s isolation, warning against any normalization of relations with the Syrian authorities, and considered the move it harms the interests of the Palestinian people and undermines global efforts to combat terrorism in the region and beyond.
