“The occupying state continues to subject ethnic Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars and members of religious communities to searches, detentions and other forms of violation of their rights. We call for an immediate end to attempts to annex Ukrainian territory and comply with international legal obligations regarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized borders, ”the US delegation called on.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomed approval of the draft updated Crimean resolution in the Third Committee of the General Assembly.

The resolution will become an official UN document after the final vote in the UN General Assembly in December this year.

Vladislav Esipenko case
