Freiburg (AP) – Midfielder Nicolas Höfler has relativized the public reluctance to achieve the goals of the SC Freiburg season. “It appeals to every player to play internationally. Just because we don’t say publicly that we want to play internationally doesn’t mean that we won’t do everything we can to make it,” said the 31-year-old midfielder to the “kicker” ( Thursday). “We are ambitious, but most of us are not knocked out now: We want to go to the Champions or Europa League, we try to win every game and ride this wave of success for as long as possible.” In the Bundesliga, the SCF is in third place.
