“The club is delighted to receive two Ligue 2 teams for this preparation match, insists Jean-Michel Malavelle, president of the MFC. We were frustrated last year with the cancellation at the last moment, linked to the crisis health; we are also sad that the TFC did not reach its accession goal, but we hope that it will be for this year. The TFC and the RAF are the two flagship clubs of Midi Pyrénées and we have a lot of pleasure in work with them. Beyond this meeting, we forge quality relations with these two clubs which are beneficial for all, especially for young players. The MFC-TG must be the club of 82, allowing the best young people to practice at the highest level, but it must be for some, a step towards the very high level (several players from our formation have signed in professional clubs this season). Despite everything, the MFC-TG is ambitious, and even if we can consider that we are playing in the same court among young people and among women, we want to reduce the gap among seniors. It will be a long road, but we are determined. This match is a celebration for our club and we hope for a large audience in which we could (maybe) catch a glimpse of Zinedine Zidane in person!
The TFC remains the regional reference: therefore we must show our attachment and send them positive waves. As for Rodez, I could say that he is our model; we are very attentive to its development and to its methods which allow this club to be in constant progress; we must be inspired by it while keeping our DNA.
