Prince Harry’s confession about Lady Di’s death

Diana’s son surprised the world with the publication of Spare, his autobiographical book, in which he exposed a secret that he kept kept for a long time.

According to Harry of Sussex, Meghan Markle’s husband, he returned to Paris ten years after the accident that claimed the life of his mother to put an end to the mourning that accompanied him during that decade. That is why he asked her driver to visit the Puente del Alma tunnel and travel through it at the same speed at which the car transporting the princess crashed on the day of her death.

“We reached the mouth of the tunnel and drove over the pothole at the entrance that supposedly took Mom’s Mercedes off the road. But the blow was nothing. Practically, we don’t even feel it,” reads the lines written by Prince Harry, who also expressed the reaction of the person driving his car: “Is this all?” It’s not a big deal. “Just a straight tunnel.”

Lady Di’s youngest son stated that, despite having tried to appease the pain he felt in his heart, this experience on the Bridge of the Soul reopened an old wound: “I thought that driving through the tunnel would put an end to it, or at least suspend temporarily, the incessant pain that I experienced all that time. But, rather, it was like the beginning of a new pain.”

This is how Lady Di died, according to investigations

All the reports agree on one thing and that is that the princess’s last hours were a harrowing escape. The car in which she was traveling with her boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed, her driver Henri Paul and her bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones (the only survivor), crashed after being chased by motorcycle photographers who were trying to photograph the British woman, as she was the celebrity of the moment. However, when the vehicle reached a speed of over 128 kilometers per hour, it collided with a concrete pillar in the Puente del Alma tunnel and three of the four occupants lost their lives.

Several investigations were carried out in France and the United Kingdom with the intention of determining the causes of Lady Di’s accident, as well as to rule out any other hypothesis.

After the first investigations, carried out by the French police between 1997 and 1999, it was determined that Henri Paul’s speeding was the main cause of the accident. In addition, the results showed that the driver had a high blood level of alcohol, antidepressants and tranquilizers; and that Diana and Fayed were not wearing their respective seat belts.

The second investigation, led by the British authorities between 2004 and 2006, delivered a verdict similar to the first, and that the crash was due to “reckless driving” by the princess’s driver and the hostile presence of the photographers.

While the third investigation, carried out by a British jury between 2007 and 2008, resolved that Lady Di and the other occupants of the vehicle were victims of “involuntary manslaughter” by Henri Paul and the paparazzi who were pursuing them.
