State traffic inspectorate on weekends, 9–December 10, takes additional measures to ensure road safety. This message appeared in the Telegram channel Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Traffic police officers carry out preventive drills in populated areas and roads aimed at preventing and suppressing gross violations of the Traffic Rules. Traffic police squads are focused on identifying drivers who get behind the wheel drunk or without a license,” the statement said.
Also under control is the transportation of passengers, compliance with speed limits, overtaking rules and pedestrian crossings. The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that pedestrians who neglect the requirements of the Traffic Rules and ignore the use of reflective elements will also be held accountable.
