Korean giant Samsung recently embarked on rebuilding its mid-range portfolio. After cheaper A02s and A12 a middle class Galaxy A42 after a year of evolution, a more equipped sibling also survived Samsung Galaxy A51. It became the best-selling phone of 2020. And all indications are that it has just been introduced Galaxy A52 builds on his successes.
- The Galaxy A52 has the ambition to become the king of the middle class. It has great equipment and an affordable price
- we praise for the waterproof body, stereo speakers and 64Mpx camera with OIS
- in addition to the phone, you get free headphones Galaxy Buds+
Two variants are officially heading to our market – Samsung Galaxy A52 and Samsung Galaxy A52 5Gwhich visually hold a uniform line. At the outset, it should be noted that its parameters are definitely surprising and shortcomings are really hard to find.
Samsung Galaxy A52
The successor to Samsung’s most popular mid-range model has prepared quite a bit. The design refers to the top-of-the-line Galaxy S range with camera layout and color combinations, but still retains its distinctive character. Matt plastic is definitely welcome, as are subtle color variants. Standard black and white are complemented by light blue and purple.
The dominant feature of the front is the 6.5 ″ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2400 px), brightness of 800 nits (increase compared to its predecessor by up to 33%), SGS Eye Care certification with guaranteed reduction of blue light and Gorilla Glass 5.
A significant novelty is the 90Hz refresh rate with Seamless technology, which has a shorter response in the case of the Super AMOLED display compared to the same counterpart with the LCD display. In practice, a 90Hz Super AMOLED can be equal to a 120Hz LCD display.

Under the hood is an eight-core Snapdragon 720G processor complete with Adreno graphics, 6/8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB internal memory with the possibility of expansion with microSD cards up to 1 TB. In terms of performance, this set should reach an estimated 280,000 points in the AnTuT benchmark, which is enough performance even for playing undemanding games. The choice of Snapdragon is interesting, but not surprising – the Exynos 9611, which is the equivalent of Samsung, achieves lower performance.
We can’t miss the camera either. The main got a resolution of 64 Mpx and optical stabilization. It is complemented by a 12Mpx wide-angle lens and a portrait / macro pair, both identical to 5Mpx. On the front we find a 32Mpx selfie camera.
The cameras do not lack tetra binding technology, which combines adjacent pixels for greater sensitivity to light, or night mode, which combines 12 images into one. Videos can be shot in 4K and you can save your favorite moments directly from the video as 8Mpx photos. The Scene Optimizer uses artificial intelligence and recognizes up to 30 types of scenes.
For enthusiasts, a professional mode with manual ISO, time, focus or white balance settings is then available. When shooting in low light conditions, you will use Night mode, which takes several photos with different exposures and then combines the result into the final image.
Operating system Android 11 complements the successful One UI 3 user superstructure. In addition to a debugged environment, it also brings the Samsung Knox security solution. This security works at the hardware level, isolates and encrypts personal data, or continuously monitors system behavior. Extended support will also be pleased, with the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G receiving security updates for at least 4 years.
A useful feature is Music Share, which ensures convenient music sharing between users of Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Music Share includes sharing music without having to pair a wireless speaker or play music from a single source on two pairs of headphones Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.
